Tumblers have been popular for a long time, and other brands are catching on by creating their versions at a lower cost.
I know you might be thinking that the Stan Collector is a website dedicated to Stanley lovers, yet they are recommending dupes.
Come on, guys, not everyone wants to be on the trend or want to spend $50- $250 on a Tumbler.
And yes, I am talking about some of the $25 cups you can find on Target or Amazon. They have similar features and come in many colors.
So, I will be comparing three Stanley Cup dupes: the Simple Modern, Crave, and the KissKind.
For the sake of not repeating myself, all the tumbler dupes are 100% stainless steel, rust-proof, BPA-free, sweat-free, dishwasher-safe, and cup-holder friendly.
Dupe #1- The Simple Modern
The first Stanly dupe on my list is the Simple Modern. Its lid has a quarter-turn technology, which can adjust to different positions depending on how you want to drink.
Yes, the Stanley lid has this feature, but it only has three positions, while the Simple Modern has four. The Stanley lid also has a three-quarter turn feature that lets you switch between a straw hole and a chug hole.
The Stanley straw hole is closer to the edge, while the Simple Modern straw hole is more in the middle. They are both dishwasher-safe and cup-holder-friendly.
The Simple Modern claims to keep your drink cold for 24 hours or more, which is impressive. The Stanley claims to keep your drink cold for 11 hours, but it also claims to keep ice for two days. Which is not true!
Now, the weight. The Stanley Cup is heavier, which isn’t a big issue but when you have other things in your hand it can become a problem.
The Simple Modern is one of the best dupes on the market today.
#2- Crave Cups 40oz Tumbler
The Stanley 40-ounce tumbler and the Crave tumbler look very similar. They both have a silver ring at the top and a handle. However, there are some differences between them.
Obviously, the Stanley has a better seal than its dupe, but again, it is heavier, and both are vacuum-sealed and double-walled. The Crave tumbler claims it will keep your drinks cold for up to 30 hours and hot for up to 10 hours.
The Stanley and the Dupe are two reusable drink containers. The Stanley is made of 80-90% recycled material and 18/8 stainless steel, while the dupe has less.
The Stanley is heavier than normal stainless steel. But for me, the best feature of the Crave is that it is less expensive than the Stanley.
That’s a big difference.
#3-KISSKIND 40 oz Tumbler
With this dupe, I love the colors available; they are similar to the Stanley colors. It holds a lot of water, 40 ounces to be exact. There’s no logo on, and it is very simple and sleek.
The handle is nice and sturdy, not like the Stanley, but it’s ok for the price. You can see the screws that attach it to the cup, and there is no grip or logo on the bottom either.
Like the Stanley, the top of the Kisskind tumbler has a straw you can remove and a lid to turn. You can drink from the straw or the hole in the lid.
I love that this tumbler keeps your water cold for a long time. But it is cheaper than the Simple Modern and the Crave, so the handle isn’t that steady. Plus, it leaks sometimes.
But again, the Stanley is $50 and is not leakproof.
Conclusion
The market for tumblers has grown, so there are now more affordable alternatives to Stanley Cups, such as Simple Modern, Crave, and KissKind.
They offer similar features as the popular Stanley. These dupes are used by thousands of people every day. If I had to choose one, it would be the Simple Modern.
