I recently purchased the Ice Flow Flip Straw, and I am obsessed with it. As you know, I have six Quenchers and wanted to try something new.
As of 2023, I have been the biggest fan of Stanley products because of its sleek design and the best way to keep hydrated on the go.
Last month, I went to the Amazon website and searched for the Stanley Ice Flow. The two series came up: the Flip Straw and Flow Fast. I chose the Flip Straw 30oz because I was hooked when I saw the handle.
The Rose Quartz color is the favorite for this series, so I clicked to check out, paid, and patiently waited. It took 3 weeks and two days to arrive, but my faithful Quencher kept my drinks cold.
Thus, this post will compare my two babies: the Ice Flow Flip and the Quencher to see which is the best for your money.
The Ice Flow Flip Straw The Leak Proof Tumbler
The Stanley Ice Flow Flip Straw is not only beautiful but also incredibly durable. They come with a convenient flip straw on top, making them easy to use.
I flip, drink, and push down.
The best part? The straw stays clean because it’s not exposed to the elements when you’re not drinking. These tumblers have a grip handle on top, which makes them perfect for carrying around.
Let’s not forget it does not have that odd side handle.
If you turn it upside down, there is no leak. I can put it in my handbag without worrying about it leaking everywhere.
Cleaning is a breeze too–just unscrew the top, toss it in the dishwasher, and you’re good to go! These tumblers come in a variety of gorgeous colors.
Like the Quencher, they’re made from 18/8 stainless steel, are BPA-free, and feature double-wall vacuum insulation to keep your drinks at the perfect temperature
The Ice Flow Is Best For
It is perfect for kids who are in school or college students. Carrying it around is so easy, the handle makes that possible. Children knock down bottles easily, the leakproof straw prevents mess.
The Ice Flow fits in most bag pockets because the handle is at the top. Plus, the slender shape helps with that.
Lately, I have been using it for the gym because it holds cold water and can fit in my gym bag. I am always tired after a workout, so I don’t have the energy to carry a bottle around.
What I Love About The Stanley Quencher
The Quencher was my first love. The simple yet unique design drew me in. It can hold hot and cold beverages (something that the Ice Flow was not designed for).
The tumbler is easy to clean. Just pop it into the top of your dishwasher or handwash, wipe it, and let it air dry. I prefer to hand wash my tumbler.
Besides that, the Quencher has a straw and a space for sipping. The lid comes apart easily and there are new colors and collaborations regularly.
As mentioned above, both have 18/8 stainless steel, BPA-free, and double-wall vacuum.
What I Do Not Like About The Quencher And Ice Flow?
The Quencher leaks. There are leak stoppers on Amazon, but sometimes it doesn’t always work. I have noticed that condensation collects around the top of both tumblers.
Also, my Black Chroma holds ice longer than my Soft Matte, so there are some inconsistencies there.
With the Ice Flow, many people are complaining about how difficult it is to clean the flip part of the straw because it harbors gunk.
The Ice Flow has 20 oz, 30oz, etc. But no 40oz, which is the perfect size.
Can The Ice Flow Lid Fit On The Stanley Quencher?
Technically, yes the Ice Flow Lid can fit on the Stanley Quencher. But only the 30oz and 20oz. The Ice Flow does not have a 40oz. Thus, a 30oz lid will not fit on a 40oz tumbler.
Does the Stanley Ice Flow Fit in a Car Cup Holder?
Yes, the Stanley Ice Flow’s slender base can fit most car cup holders.
Wrapping Up
Which tumbler is the best? It depends. The Ice Flow is great for kids and college students. It has all the features of the Quencher but with a different lid.
