How To Fix A Broken Stanley Cup Handle?

If you’re like me, you can’t live without your Stanley Tumbler. It’s the perfect companion for your morning coffee, afternoon tea, or evening cocktail.

It keeps your beverages at the right temperature, is easy to carry, and looks great. But there’s one problem: the handle is broken.

How did that happen? Maybe you have dropped it one time and the handle broke or it’s the manufacturer’s mishap. Whatever the reason, you do not have to throw your Stanley Cup away. You can fix it yourself or benefit from Stanley’s lifetime warrant.

The company stands behind its products and offers a lifetime warranty on all its tumblers, covering any defects or damage caused by normal use. Which is a plus!

Today, I will tell you how to fix your Stanley cup if the handle is broken and how to get a new cup if the problem is a defect.

Stanley’s Life Time Warrant For Broken Handles

Stanley tumblers are for lifetime use, but sometimes accidents happen. If your tumbler’s handle breaks due to a defect or normal use. Do not worry because these cups are expensive.

Stanley offers a limited lifetime warranty on all their tumblers, meaning they will replace or repair your tumbler for free. All you have to do is submit a warranty claim online and provide some images of your Tumbler.

Adding an image is important so the company can process your claim and verify the defect or damage. You will need pictures of the broken handle as well as the bottom of the cup for identification purposes.

The images should be clear, in focus, and JPG, PNG, or GIF format with a maximum size of 20MB. Once you submit your claim, you will receive a confirmation email and a tracking number. Stanley will review your claim and send you a new Tumbler within a few weeks.

And That’s It.

If Your Stanley Fell And The Handle Broke? What Happens Now

If this happens, I understand your pain. A Stanley Tumbler is expensive, and most people may not replace it.

And no, you will not receive a new tumbler from the company if it is your fault. However, do not take my word for it; consider TikTok Kendra Ford’s story.

Her cup fell, and the bottom of the handle came right off. In the comments of her video, she claimed that she messaged Stanley, but they wouldn’t replace her cup.

She used steel putty to mend the handle back in place by cutting the designed piece, mixing it to a grey color, and applying it to the handle so that it could stick to the cup.

It took about an hour for the putty to harden, and her Stanley handle was back on her cup. The only downside is that you can see where the putty and the handle are connected.

Use KwikWeld Glue

If the steel potty isn’t your style, you can use a strong all-purpose glue like the Kwikweld glue.

Tools

  • The glue
  • Allen Wrench Key

Method

  • Remove the handle from the cup using your Allen Wrench key.
  • Take out the steel piece in the handle.
  • Following the glue’s instructions carefully mixed it up and applied it to the broken area on the handle.
  • Wait for two hours.
  • Put the screws back and it’s good as new.
