Normally, I wash my Stanley cups once daily, especially when I add Coke or any flavored drink.
But for the past week, I have been only drinking water from my Ice Flow and was so busy that I forgot to wash my tumbler.
It’s been a busy week.
I began to get that funny taste many people have been complaining about. Thus, my tumbler needed some extra TLC.
One thing that troubled me was cleaning the lid. Do you know that black rubber part that can have mold? Thankfully, there was none.
I gently removed it, which took me at least an hour to slide back in. I do not recommend doing this.
Washing My Stanley Ice Flow Flip Straw
One of the easiest ways to clean your Stanley tumbler is to put it in the dishwasher.
Not for me.
I need to hand-wash them. This means taking them apart and soaking them in vinegar and soapy water after.
- Unscrew the lid from the Ice Flow.
- Remove the gasket seal.
- In soapy water, use a straw brush to clean the straw and the flip straw.
- Rinse and wipe dry.
- Allow the tumbler and the lid to air dry for 15-30 mins.
The Cleaning Problems With The Ice Flow Flip Straw
Hey, Stanley why can I detach the flip straw from the lid? My biggest fear is to find gunk and mold in that area. I scrub that area with a toothbrush to make sure it is clean.
Also, what about the black piece on the lid? (I do not know the name of it) I found that soaking the lid in hot soapy water sometimes helps.
My mom says to use my water flosser to remove any gunk.
This can help.
Besides that, cleaning my Ice Flow was easy except for the lid. It is my trouble area.
