How To Bedazzle Your Stanley Cup?

I’m excited to share my latest project with you. I’ve been working on personalizing my Stanley Tumbler, which has become one of my favorite and most frequently used items.

The tumbler has excellent insulation properties, keeping drinks hot or cold for a long time, and it’s easy to use with its rotating lid, reusable straw, and compatibility with car cup holders. It’s the perfect companion for my active lifestyle, and I take it with me everywhere. I’ve decided to add a unique touch to the tumbler to make it even more special to me.

Bedazzling is a fun and easy way to add some sparkle and personality to your everyday items. You can bedazzle anything from clothes, shoes, and accessories, to home decor, and more. All you need are some rhinestones, a glue gun, and some creativity.

Recently, I have been under the weather so it took me about a week to finish bedazzling my Stanley Cup. But you can finish in at least 10-13 hours.

The Tools You Will Need

– A Stanley tumbler (of course!)

– Some flat-backed rhinestones in different sizes and colors. I got mine from a local craft store, but you can also order them online. I chose a mix of blue, pink, purple, and silver rhinestones to match my style.

– A hot glue gun and some glue sticks. You can use any type of glue that works with rhinestones, but I prefer hot glue because it dries fast and holds well.

– A pair of tweezers. It makes it easier to pick up and place the rhinestones. You can also use your fingers, but be careful not to burn yourself. 🔧

– A pencil and a ruler. This is also optional, but it helps you plan out your design and make it symmetrical. You can also freehand your design if you’re feeling adventurous.

Here are the steps that I followed to bedazzle my Stanley Tumbler:

1. Clean and dry your tumbler thoroughly, making sure there is no dust or dirt on the surface. This is important because any dirt or moisture can affect the adhesion of the glue and the rhinestones.

2. Next, plan out your design by sketching it lightly with a pencil on the tumbler. Use a ruler to make sure the lines are straight and even. I decided to go for a simple and elegant design, with a row of rhinestones around the top and bottom of the tumbler, and a few scattered rhinestones in between. You can make your design as simple or as complex as you want, depending on your preference and skill level.

3. Heat the glue gun and glue the rhinestones one by one. It is best to use a tweezer to pick up and place the rhinestones. You can start with the largest rhinestones and then fill in the gaps with the smaller ones.

What Can Go Wrong

Now, before you rush to bedazzle your Stanley tumbler, let me warn you about some things that can go wrong when doing this project:

– Be careful not to burn yourself with the hot glue gun. It can get really hot and sticky, and it can hurt a lot if you touch it accidentally. I recommend wearing gloves or using a low-temperature glue gun to avoid this.

Do not drop or spill any rhinestones: They can be slippery and hard to find, and they can also damage your floor or furniture if you step on them or scratch them. I suggest working on a flat and clean surface and using a tray or a bowl to hold your rhinestones.

I hope you enjoy this mini tutorial, until next time, stay fabulous! 💖
