I also must confess that after purchasing my Black Chroma, I have been drinking more water than usual. It’s not a bad thing.
Since I recently started drinking a lot of water daily, it is only fair that I would want to know how many cups of water are in my 40oz.
According to SFGATE.com, there are 5 cups of water, about 1.2 liters, in a Stanley Tumbler 40oz. But the “8 glasses a day” rule is a good starting point.
So I usually drink about two Stanley 40oz a day; One with plain water and ice and the other with water, ice, and a Nuun tablet. The Citrus Berry is my favorite.
My Journey To Drinking More Water Because Of My Stanley Cup
I’m a preschool teacher, and staying hydrated on the job can be tough! I used to drink about three cups of water a day. Then the Stanley Cup trend took off.
Most water bottles around me were boring, but I fell for the Stanley’s fun colors. l had a special interest in the black Chroma, which is so calming for me, so I snagged one. It honestly made a huge difference in my water intake just by drinking out of it.
Since then, I’ve added Pink neon and Black neon to the mix, plus accessories such as boots and straw covers. Switching them out keeps it exciting. Now, I’m a total water lover! My friend even noticed – she offered to buy me a drink, and I was like, “Nah, I’m good with my water!”
The only downside is that I’m taking toilet breaks more than usual. But that’s ok with me.
How many 40 oz Stanley cups should you drink a day?
Well, it depends. Your ideal hydration depends on factors like activity level, climate, overall health, and body size.
Most healthy adults need 11.5-15.5 cups (2.7-3.7 liters) of fluids daily from all sources, not just water. Since a Stanley holds 5 cups, that means 2-3 Stanley cups would get you close.
However, drinking too much at once can overwhelm your body. Sip consistently throughout the day instead.
Again, I stick with 2 Stanley cups a day sometimes three if I go to the gym.
The Table shows Stanley’s Tumbler Sizes

Wrapping Up
If you struggle to drink enough water, try using a bottle you love! The Stanley encouraged me to drink more water, and maybe it can for you too.
